Ahhh ha
The only regret that feel concerns a personal loss etc.
The 1 I know has done some truly abhorrent things & absolves himself of any blame by spinning it & rationalizing his behavior .

My ex husband has a moderate case of Tourettes. Our first daughter has been "difficult" even in Utero. In 94ish I thought to look up what offspring of TS people may face. It said males have chance of tics- girls can have psychological issues.
I had forgotten about finding this, but, now in 2022 I tried to find the Study again to no avail. I am so overwhelmed w. the lack of knowledge in this area, do you have any experience in this condition
that may help. Now that she is 40 she is exceedingly off the charts. Any advice?
TS wasn't even a topic back in 70's & 80's

Met up with a (x military) Director Of Nurses in my dad's nursing home (back in 2017-18) who I STRONGLY BELIEVE is a transvestite sociopath. At the time, I had NO IDEA even what a narcissist was back then. Once I started reporting to (DO NOTHING) government agencies on what was going on in this nursing home., ...that Director Of Nurses came after me and my frail dad like a raging barracuda!!! It was a ruthless, relentless attack!!! We went through ALL the things a narcissist would do to it's target, but on a much more elevated level. Public humiliations, endless supply of monkey (nursing home staff, cop friends, government retaliation for reporting on the nursing home, military tactics of sleep deprivation, threats, stalking, ....etc.)
I've done A LOT of study since our encounter with this...thing. I strongly believe that a sociopath is on a far more dangerous level than a narcissist. Besides the stalking that was experienced in the very beginning, I witnessed an episode that was the equivalent of a small child flailing it's arm about in a tantrum. It was this "tantrum" witnessed out of a 60 something year old Director Of Nurses that really had me.... thinking "this person is plum ass crazy!" I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. Wow, that was wild!
I believe, sociopaths are on the spectrum that are far more "comfortable" with committing murder than a narcissist.

Wow. Dealing with boredom by acting out, aggression, etc. Most people find something to do.
Or take a nap. :)

That's my Narcissistic Sociopathic sister. She doesn't care about anyone but herself. Entitled, controlling, self-serving, manipulative, self-righteous, tantrums even now in her 70's! The drama! Going 'no contact' has been the happiest I have been for the last 6+ years. My other sister, a sociopath, both took my mother 'out'! They have 0 compassion, and are mean as snakes. Their toxic controlling gripe, and manipulation is relentless, and the charm could schmooze the most hardened. Grudges? Yikes! What they want they will try any manipulation to get it. This sister is now suing us, her sibs, for my mother's beach house, our inheritance, which she has taken control over for the last 6+ years since mom's death. As the power of authority, she has spent all the money. My freedom from this snake pit is more valuable to me.

I completely agree. Shallow, null, void of character, and I believe possessed by the Last night before he was to come visit, I prayed, annointed the entrance of my door, told the devil he's not welcome here! (not my guest). Mike came, started some drama and stirmed out the door within 20 minutes.

Look I would love a partner but I just can't feel it and I know I enjoy the sensation of pain from others and the scary thing is sometimes I do it without even noticing I'm hurting others

I can tell you for sure when my cat died I wasn't upset that he died I regretted I wasn't there when he died it's just one hand I loved him on the other did I truly or do I think I did

People in the comments, while this video is interesting and factually correct, do not self-diagnose. Nothing good comes out of it.

I think feeling regret and not remorse makes a lot of sense. I often think of them as being similar or the same, but they’re not. You can feel regret without feeling remorseful; an example of this would be, I buy a new pair of shoes without trying them on, but I put them on and they’re too small and are painful. I would regret my decision to buy them, but remorse wouldn’t be involved because I wouldn’t have done anything bad buy buying the shoes. It was just simply a wrong decision.

Very insightful
