The Milwaukee loses points for repeatedly dropping the bits. That’s a pretty big defect.

What I learned: from my DIY, use to be skilled labor, no longer need to do this 40-60 hours a week... either one of these will be just fine

I hope Milwaukee sees this and does something about that collet. Both are good tools being put to extreme tests and Milwaukee failed do to an issue they have failed to address. Time to rethink what they are doing.

These TTR highlights are the best. I hilarious when Nick yells “Let’s go” when he wins and Vince does the robot.

If it wasn't for the Milwaukee's shitty collet, the Dewalt wouldn't have won. Also, did Milwaukee fix their crappy collet? I'm not replacing my Fuel Gen2 until they have fixed it...

@VCG Construction would you still recommend the 787 vs the 887?

What exactly is the type 3 on the dewalt, is it a fix for the burnout issue on the 887 or do these impacts still burn out easy? Really would love to buy one but need some reliability

I guess the best way to put it is the Milwaukee won in performance....But lost in build quality which is surprising

If Milwaukee gets that collett fixed, then it's a blowout. But that Dewalt type 3 ain't bad.

Quick question didn’t know where else to ask but I am looking for a wedge anchors driving but for my Milwaukee sds rotary hammer was wondering if you knew of any

The issue here is Nick can't seem to keep the impact driver straight, whereas Vince seems to do a much better job of keeping it straight and pushing straight down for maximum thrust into the material.

How is makita not in the mix? It doesn’t have collet issues and very similar in specs between the two of those..didn’t it even outperform the dewalt you guys put it up against?

Isn't the new makita better then the dewalt 887 ? VCG found it to smoke when it was put to the test.

If that collet worked better on the Milwaukee tho . Do you think you are better off getting the fuel surge rather than the m18

It is clear that you gave 2 extra points to Dewalt: test 14 & 15 are the same, then test 25: Spaddle Rescue.
In total there are 24 tests (Test: fastener 16 / spaddle 8) + temperature measure in 17. In almost all spaddle tests, Milwaukee clearly wins by drilling, but its problem is exposed with the collet. What's interesting about this test is that there was no smoke with the 887, and it was able to complete the tasks. DeWalt made any modifications?

Vince, is there a problem with the M18 collet?
