Paint brushes come in all different materials. A fiberglass or acrylic brush would change in some way due to the constituents of the paint thinner. Cigarette butts turn to mush in acetone, so do materials in paint thinner.

The first video happens when you have oil-based metal/wood paint on your brush and instead of soaking it in thinner liquid, you put the brush overnight in water. Thinner liquid actually makes your brush hairs clean and separated.

This could be partially true. I'm a certified paint technician, so if there was any amount of hardener, any at all, in the thinner, it would solidify into that exact glass like solid at room temp
