The dial on that watch is just something else, absolutely incredible.

Well done on the content .. I’ve got this watch and you make it look amazing 🤩 ... I think you captured the whole spirit of the watch well - it’s a beauty for sure and really light but the brilliant hard titanium makes it very robust (and never experienced the tarnishing you mentioned). I’ve come close to selling it (twice) to further a Blancpain fetish so clearly not perfect but still have it as wearing it always brings a smile. The case is relatively unique which was one of my initial reasons for chasing it and it does have that notability of being the first with the contemporary design independent GS branding. Well done on the content though.

I just purchased my first 2 Grand Seiko’s from an AD a few days ago (White Birch and Skyflake). Very happy with them!

Imagine what the Swiss would charge for a spring drive!!

That dial itself... What a beauty... Only VC and Patek on par or outshine them.

I'm pretty sure the rainbow color on the watch is the oil from your hands sitting on top of the metal. This is probably a good thing because that means that the case is oleophobic - the oil is pooling on top of the metal rather than spreading across it or seeping into it. That pool of oil is refracting the light. It could be related to the treatment / coating GS uses to harden the titanium. That you noticed it could also be related to the quality of the polishing because all high-polished surfaces that don't absorb oil do the same thing. Or, perhaps, you just had extra oily skin the day you did this review.

Seems like GS has declared “marketing war” on Rolex. So many big YouTube names reviewing GS right now as “better than Rolex”. I’m on to you GS.

Very nice.... 36000 vbh? If I was to get a GS it'd be an automatic, dunno why just appeals to me more than spring drive (heretic!!)
Cheers mate, stunning camera work as always. 👍🏻👍🏻

Can you just review the watch on it’s own merits without comparing it to Rolex OP.. Aesthetically the seiko is pleasing and can stand on its own

The automatic Gs movements are the most stable I have ever had. Only auto I would own actually

I'm a Grand Seiko fan but one thing I wish they do is to work on thinning the washes. I'll like to see them in the 11 to 12mm range for thickness. They're currently mostly in the 12 to 14mm.

GS's key technology is "Polishing". It is used for Katana. not only Spring Drive.

Great vid 🤟 have a question tho, I’m also a fan of nato/rubber on modern dress watches, is it possible to demonstrate in the video??
