I never buy a watch thinking I'm going to sell it later. A watch is a lifetime joy, not an investment. I put a deposit down for a new Tokyo lion just today. Stunning watch. Absolutely beautiful.

Main problem with this vid…you should never buy a watch as an investment unless it’s a Richard Mille or Patek. You buy a watch to wear, so buy it because you like it.

The majority of watch brands do not hold value. GS, TAG, Longines, Oris, Tudor, etc. I wouldn't buy most brands new unless I absolutely loved the watch and had the expendable income OR the AD offered a nice discount.

I never sold a watch. I gave one away once, mostly to give myself an excuse to buy another one.

I get incredible value from my Grand Seikos. The enjoyment I get from wearing them is limitless. No other brand offers better craftsmanship and technology for the money. But like get one for $4k, $9k is pushing it.

Watches are not investments any idiot who buys a watch as investment deserves to lose money

I would love to pick up a used Spring Drive. I've always wanted one for me, not as an investment, but rather as the amazing work of technology that it represents. Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea they were dropping on the used market.

Buying watches as an investment seems as legit as going to the Casino as an investment.

GS loses money on the second hand market? In other news the sky is blue, if you go out in the rain you'll get wet.. fascinating insight.

On the used market, GS is "on sale." I'll now be checking their used market.

I buy what I like and can afford. I couldn't care less if it's worth nothing when I buy it. As long as I like it 😊

Grand Seiko's are for the owner's pleasure. Rolex's are for everyone else's. I'm never going back there. There are MUCH better ways to invest money. Gold was up 25% recently.

People that buy watches as an investment, knows nothing about investing.
Buy watches like spending on vacations, enjoy the experience.

I love grand Seiko but surprisingly there don't seem to be that many that don't look goofy on my 6 inch wrist

I'd 1, 000% consider purchasing a Grand Seiko Snowflake if the dang case could be reduced to 36mm - it's just a gorgeous piece and your favourite watchmaker's favourite watch!

My dainty little wrists can't handle it 😂

Here in the UK, A.D Jewellers have been offering between 15 and 30% on quite a few models, including some new models.
It's the most Grand seikos that I've seen discounted.
They have expanded their range and A.D. network and put up their prices.
Just not enough people buying them.

I was thinking this yesterday- GS is like a used car. You can get great value without paying full retail! But how many dings do you want second-hand?

"Grand Seiko should be the LAST watchmaker you choose from in 2024." ... then proceed to advising to buy a used GS.... I have nothing to learn anymore from this dood

Dumb question: where is a good place to scope out used Grand Seikos? I'm new to most things watches, but i love the heritage collection
