Definitely the most genuine way of promoting a training concept I've ever seen. How often in life do you make a mistake like that and it turns around in to such a great opportunity? Or more importantly, how often do we spot the opportunities to benefit from negative situations we find ourselves in? Great video work Travis, loving the view from the rock traversing course there.

And I could also still use a Musket in modern day combat... but I choose not too...

nice cave. Looks big enough to comfortably fit Mrs. Bear and her family. And I'm sure they wouldn't mind sharing.

I've backpacked in that country many times (in the Tetons last week in fact) and those high mountain caves are where bears den, both grizzly and black bear. If I had a flashlight or lighter, I'd take the cave but scope it out first. Those storms can roll in at a moments notice, even worse is fog, it'll leave you arms-length blind.

Never had good luck with Solomon shoes. Soles always peeled at the heel, and I always ended up breaking the "quick pull" laces. Keen or Merrell is the way to go imo

I could see you doing a show like Bear Grylls. You have extensive training and experience, and you are very well spoken in front of a camera.

Response: 1-check cave size and if it can hold the team, 2--if it can send out everyone to gather wood for fire, 3-get fire going at mouth of cave and get everyone dry, 4-let situation impress on all the need to have rain gear at all times, and proper boots, I was caught half way up Mt Washington In NH on a hot sunny day that turned cold and windy with a shower: a cotton sweatshirt and a poncho saved the day.

I think I just peed in my pants like a BOSS looking at that hill side trail! Looks like a cool class.

There are 3 options here: UP the mountain, IN the mountain and DOWN the mountain (2000FT & 5.5 miles back down). My training says, by far, going DOWN the mountain is the best option. I wrote the original comment to see what other think and if they have training does it differ from mine....I never mentioned going up the mountain nor using metal bars. Not sure how you came to that question :)
