Goodbye EVGA

New reports were just posted stating that the Nvidia exclusive AIB EVGA will no longer be creating GPUs for Nvidia. Specifically it looks like EVGA will continue to sell through its stock until it's all depleted, but will not be making any RTX 40 GPUs. Additionally EVGA will be holding onto RTX 30 cards to honor the warranties of existing RTX 30 EVGA GPU owners. Also EVGA appears to be completely shutting its GPU business down and will not be producing any graphics cards for AMD or Intel either. Going forward EVGA will only be producing things such as power supplies and peripherals.

EVGA, the best warranty, the best services, and one of the best GPUs. This is bad, all because Nvidia ego and bad practices. I hope EVGA and the employees survive this...

Can you imagine what a nightmare dealing with NVIDIA over warranty claims will be.

I hope AMD sees this chance and offers EVGA the chance off maybe what they really wanted from NVIDIA.

That 5% gross margin is absolutely brutal. Nvidia clearly wants to phase out AIB partners.

I have always respected EVGA and have felt bad that Nvidia has treated them poorly in recent years. I hope EVGA will continue to do well, and I intend to purchase as many EVGA parts for my future builds as possible. I do hope they get back into the Video Card manufacturing side. Perhaps they could leverage their value in the industry to work out good partnership terms with another supplier such as AMD or Intel.

EVGA, one of the good ones. Sad to see them go, just when they are needed the most

EVGA, my favorite company, all because of the greedy corporate suits behind Nvidia. I am gonna keep my 3080 forever!!!

EVGA cards were the best in the market imo. And Nvidia will definitely feel a hit from this separation. I won't be buying an Nvidia card from here on out in the foreseeable future. This only confirms that my next video card will be an AMD based card.

Nvidia’s 65% margin is absolutely disgusting.

So tragic, hope EVGA will reconsider other GPU manufacturers.

Pretty sad day. I miss the days that Nvidia and AMD used to give their AIB's free reign on their tech, and just make insane cards with dual gpu setups on one pcb, or something like that. Intel would be crazy to not pursue EVGA to do something like that with ARC cards, maybe allow EVGA to make their own drivers for them and get people excited for ARC. Here's a glass of Hopium that we see something like that come from this.

This is serious stuff man. So serious that for the first time in forever we didn't get a crazy intro.

When you consider they make the same amount of actual profit from power supply sales despite it only being 20% of their revenue according to GN video.

EVGA was a great company. I have purchased several PSU and video cards from them over multiple years. One of my brand recommendations to anyone for their products/support and warranty. They will be missed!!

EVGA is the largest manufacturer of GPUS in the USA and Canada, they had something like 40% of the entire market share. This is actually bad for the market, because this leaves a big hole in the market that will be hard for other companies to fill in the short term while leading to less consumer choice. Nvidia making founder's edition cards always seemed like a dubious move to me, and now we're starting to see the consequences of it.

damn i really liked EVGA their quantity, warranty and services were through the roof rip

This could end up hurting the quality of GPU's if other companies follow suit. Basically because Nvidia would be struggling to keep up with demand and then just pump out product at a lower quality. EVGA is my favorite GPU company.

Well, GPU's are basically a monopoly. This is just another example.
