I have owned GPUs from all sorts of AIBs and EVGA has been nothing but great to me. I had a 1080 die outside warranty and they replaced it at no charge and the support staff was so genuinely helpful. I have sworn by EVGA ever since. Really sad to hear this.

Used to use a buddy's machine back in the day because he had an EVGA GTX580 and it ROCKED. Always had good experiences with them.

The fact that I've never seen a 16 GB 3080 TI is enough to me to know this relationship with Nvidia speaks true. I'm pretty sure at this point if EVGA makes an AMD GPU, that's what I'll be getting.

I'm sad to see this. My first real gaming card was a 1060 3GB SC and even such an "entry level" card felt heavy and premium. I later bought a 1070 FTW Hybrid and it was cool and quiet. Since then I've always had a soft spot for them.

Even bought one of their mice.

I'm a partner for Panasonic on their industrial mobility products. We are also seeing moves that they want to cut their partners and sell direct. A lot of companies are doing this and it's going to kill thousands of businesses who are built up on the partner framework. They want control of all pricing.

Built lots of PCs and never had a single issue with any EVGA parts albeit I only bought their graphics cards and power supplies.

Explains why some build companies weren’t offering EVGA cards, sad

Thats a shame, I had such a good experience with EVGA with my previous cards that I was hesitant to buy from other brands, particularly since with a few of them I’ve either had mediocre/bad experiences with them (including non-GPU parts), heard worrying anecdotes from others or their warranty was the bare minimum.

Would be interesting to see if EVGA starts looking to the other manufacturers for GPU's If they decided to go AMD I'd get in line for that.

I had a friend who had a defective card from EVGA, and man let me tell you to this day almost 10 years later my friend refuses to buy any other brand of graphics card. That customer service support was so on point👌

When a company with a reputation as good as EVGA breaks ties with Nvidia, it tells me something about Nvidia.

This makes me feel actual sadness. I would have never expected to feel this emotion about two companies cutting ties.

EVGA has been my go to GPU manufacturer for ages and I consider them a pretty good company. Basically the best for Customer Support too.

This is a phenomenal opportunity for AMD to reach out to EVGA and give EVGA the freedom to design their own AMD gpus. AMD can build a stronger relationship with AIBs and leverage a better, stronger gpu marketshare. I only have an Nvidia card because I wanted to get an EVGA. I'm sure there a lot of people that are in the same boat.

Hearing how EVGA has decided to handle themselves over the years, I've firmly decided I want to be a customer that looks to them for products first when I need something. Particularly how they've decided to not sell the company because they won't want some profit only people in control of the company.

I respect EVGA for doing this. Honestly, I think this is a great move, as you mentioned, they did some amazing things with making GPUs in the past, and it shows how creative EVGA and their staff is, yet NVIDIA took that creativity away from their partners. Moving forward I think this will make EVGA design incredible things in the future. EVGA has the best warranty of any GPU maker and as others mentioned, this was the ONLY company during the shortage that did everything in their power to keep their prices down and to make sure everyone was able to get a GPU using their query system.

I do like the Founder Editions by NVIDIA as they are very affordable and extremely well made, but as you mentioned NVIDIA was selling these much less than their partners and it takes away business from their partners.

I was in the EVGA queue to buy a 3060. The email notification that I got (10 months later) to finally buy it went to my junk mail. So I didn't see it until a few weeks later. Contacted EVGA to ask to be put back into the queue. Instead they just put a 3060 into my cart right then and there. They were really awesome about the whole thing. Great vendor for graphics cards and will be missed.

10 out of the 11 gpus I have bought over the years were EVGA cards . I have to say I'm sad to hear this. Thank You EVGA for the amazing products and great support .

I am pretty sure EVGA was the only company that had the sign up program to guarantee yourself a card during the height of the pandemic and their customer service was incomparable against the other AIBs. It’s really sad to see this happening.
