We are using Jr. Anatomy with my girls who will be 10 and 14 next school year.

Yessss! Health/Anatomy and Government/Civics are the two subjects I think are the most important and relevant for everyday life that most modern people really don't learn enough about.

Love this video! Well done! I've hesitated about purchasing this one but you've talked me into it, thanks,

Yep, I’m 45 and glad I got my nursing degree. I homeschool and basically try to pour everything into my daughter’s brain. She’s 13 and she’s going into the health field so far she says. My mom was a nurse and did the same with me. It’s kinda neat to hand that info down because a lot of it never changes. It’s always good to know especially as we age I can definitely testify to that. 😂

This was an incredibly helpful video. You did a wonderful job telling us and showing us what to expect without the typical high pitched voice, yelling and gushing over a product they received for free and don’t know much about. I very much appreciate your content and style of delivery.

The Gift of Fear is so important, especially for all teenage girls.

Thank you for sharing! My 14 1/2 year old can't stand learning about the human body. She wants to learn everything about a horses body though. It sounds like I could tame it down a little for her.
On the other end of the spectrum my 11 year old daughter is all about learning about the human body. She completed a year course in a few months. I would find her at odd times reading the text book. I got her another human body unit study and she said it just covered it at surface level. She wants to dive deeper.
I will definitely be looking into this and the jr. option for next year.

Will you be counting this as a credit for Anatomy/physiology and half credit for Health? I’d love to know how you decide this when topics are so integrated. Thanks!!

Do you have recommendations to focus on the brain? Different diagnosis one might have, adhd etc and life style like nutrition/ exercise thats beneficial, mental health? If there is a curriculum like that out there. Would you say this is more indepth than a health book like Harcourt health book( or books similar)?

Do you know if the course you described and the ‘junior’ version can be taught together? I’ll have to look into these for my future high schooler and middle schoolers.

This sounds like it covers mostly the same things as the Junior Anatomy that we are doing right now (at a lower level of course). As a nurse, do you have any recommendations for a “health” course? I would like to cover health in high school with my kids and this is sounding a bit too similar to do again. 😊

Thanks Abbey…going to check out what the junior level is as well as HS so we can do it as a family subject.
Do you know if it touches on drugs and alcohol and the affects on the body?

Thank you so much for sharing this I have been looking for some thing to use for my oldest. I was just wondering would you use an additional health curriculum in addition to this one or does this Guest Hollow curriculum cover health as well?

This sounds great! How much do you sit with them to do weekly? I’m thinking I want to use this with my almost 14 year old and spread it across 2 years

I am curious what did you call the credit for this class? Im a nurse too but haven’t worked in 21 years due to homeschooling. Would like to go back at some point now that we are finishing high school but man it will be tough!

Are you including this in the 2024/2025 school year? or adding it in to the current school yer?

How does this course differ from a biology course besides the fact that biology obviously covers plants and animals? It looks like it covers the same things?
