I can't listen to music anymore because I took depakote and it damaged my brain and now music doesn't sound good I used to listen to music all the time and it used to give me chills I shouldn't have tooken depakote.

I no longer get a frisson from music because I took depakote and it damaged my limbic system in my brain so I no longer get chills from a favorite song.

My favorite instrument is a viloin.
I'm a violinist as well, obviously not as good at it as this lady though. Lol

I find the conclusion of this video extremely lacking and insufficient. Anyone who thinks about what he/she likes (irrelevant of whether it is music or not) will have highly stimulated brain functions. Maybe trying a similar experiment (alongside this one of course) on people who know nothing about music, notes, etc. will provide, when also compared to someone who does know about music, a much more conclusive answer. I, for example know nothing about notes or music, although I still enjoy listening to it, but, what effect would music have on my brain as a person who doesn't process it as much as someone who does know about music? For me it would be more of a type of listening, while someone who knows about music will actually "use his/her brain" more as they think about the notes, octaves, etc. That's why I consider this video extremely "limited".

Albert Einstein said if he didn't start playing the viloin as a child he'd of not been a genius.
