Villagers certainly aren't humans in Minecraft. They don't look like the player, and we can't understand them. Their behavior is very simple. Zombies look exactly like Steve but they are all dead. Steve is the only human alive, struggling for survival all alone... this song fits the lonely theme of Minecraft perfectly.

Btw I'am talking about old, classic Minecraft.
