First off Eisenhower said "in god we trust" is the motto. Only 70 years ago during the cold war. E pluribus unum is actually the United States motto.

Not surprised at all that this is Southlake Carroll ISD. Their superintendent and the board never miss a chance to discriminate against people.

Sue the crap out that district. The law says it must be displayed. The school board is in direct violation of the law by not displaying them.

Because children are impressionable, courts are generally hesitant to allow the display of religious messages in schools. This is because they would transmit fundamental values to children linking school and religion. Besides that things like this can cause a hostile environment for people of other religions and atheists. Schools should be a safe place for all to learn you want to study religion go to church that is your right. Just don't force it on everyone else.

If it can be on our money and government buildings, then it is not unconstitutional.
