Goodness – that is absolutely fascinating. It is exactly 40 years since I did SMO O-level maths and I can honestly say that it has changed beyond all recognition. That said, I don’t think I have actually ever needed to use any of the content in your specimen paper or the ridiculous content in my syllabus which included no end of matrices. I mean, matrices? When do we encounter those? One wonders how relevant this is to modern day life. Much more necessary, today, is the ability to write and adapt formulas in spreadsheets. But I suppose that would be considered an IT lesson rather than mathematics?

I have no idea why I am in higher, I got 37 in a foundation paper when the whole school did one, they won't let me out of top set, so I'm not gonna pass maths, please help j swear to god I'm not resitting because I'm in a set I shouldn't be in
