Just bought the 15 pro before the announcement. Returned and pre-ordered the 16 Pro. The photo section of the 16 is better than any other smartphone.

24hrs into owning the 16 Pro Max, I can see the advantages of the new capture button for photography, but for video, the button totally stinks.

I have tried using it with the Apple Manufactured Silicone cover, plus on the phone with no cover, and no matter how gentle I am, that clicking sound gets baked into the video file.

I don't have time to edit out the first and last milliseconds of each video file, so will continue to use the onscreen button, or traditional side buttons to record and end recording.

The 15 Pro Max has no issue with speed (5 or 10gb a second), you can transfer files super quickly out of BlackMagic Camera App, it's the photos app that is hard to just transfer files with, I think. I think that new Lexar SSD and Hub will also solve a lot of that. I think most drives are gonna have a max write of ~1000 mb/s, so I am not sure how they are gonna make it any faster than that.

I always get so frustrated trying to work with actual files from photos app that i usually just end up airdropping, which is back to being slow.

The audio features were kind of cool, I hope they work with external mics, because its never gonna be close enough using the actual phone,

I think there are some nice to haves and the only real new feature is 4k120, which is pretty big, but probably not enough to upgrade...not sure the button would be useable once its in a cage.

Anyone knows if the iPhone 16 Pro will be able to record 8K video. I suspect it will (hardware is capable), but is yet not enabled. And what about 4K Spatial video?

I'm on a 14 Pro. I still use my phone in conjunction with my cameras for my channel. My biggest issue now is having no USB-C on my 14 when everything else I use is USB-C. I am really debating on the 16 Pro.
