Very balanced and honest review. Though I find LG G5s battery better than S7 from personal experience.

I got the g5 for 430 pounds and it was money well spent. battery is good, camera is great (for a phone camera) i have no complaints. life is good:)

I'm waiting to see if LG will add the more tactile physical keyboard to their Friends lineup, so one will be able to use two thumbs instead of the ol' typewriter version of one thumb at a time. Until it will maximize the screen, thanks for an objective review on this great phone. I really like how LG is still allowing people to replace their own battery, especially in case it goes bad. :)

Excellent video. You always do a great job. I own the S7 Edge (my 1st Samsung) and had the G2 til I got this 1 on release date in March. No change in its performance that I've noticed for me yet. The G2 was good for about a year then got really slow and battery life went from 40% left at the end of the day to needing to charge by afternoon. G5 is obviously a good phone, but I feel it's gimmicky too. I agree with everything you said based on other reviews I've read including yours.

I have 30 percent battery left at the end of the day, phone calls and emails normally all during the day. The first day it did not do so well so this phone learns your needs and makes adjustments to power consumption. I also turn the always on display off and that saves more power than you might imagine.

It is cast metal in the entire body. Premium by definition. it is hollow to allow the battery to be inserted easily. It is possible to be hollow because it is beautifully engineered to save space inside. Having had to replace batteries in my earlier cell phones, I consider the ability to replace a battery myself without breaking the glued down back panel, like in the Samsung S7 glass phone, a must have and any phone not having that ability is not to be considered.

you are right the price droped fast I bought g5 for 494 dollars in kuwait against 690 dollars for s7 or htc10, I love the phone and have no complaints.

I have an LG G6, which I like but when my wife started having problems with the Samsung Note 3 I did the reviews and bought her an LG G5 for $245.00 unlocked through Amazon. She couldn't be happier. A refurbished Samsung Galaxy S7 cost $259.00 refurbished.
I know I made a right decision!
