If I could afford to collect Art, as an investment and for personal enjoyment, I would absolutely want the original piece. I would not want everyone having copies of it because it makes mine worth less. A digital picture is not worth anything if it's stolen, but a picture of it, proving that you owned an actual tangible physical piece of art to show your insurance company after the original is stolen, that means something.
