Having bed bugs was one the most disgusting, demoralizing events that my wife and I have been through. Bed bugs are so freaking EVIL.

The worst part about these things are you can keep your house clean in a spotless orderly fashion but if you go around anybody who has one or two bed bugs and they will follow your ass home and infest your entire house so for any of those who say that bed bugs only belong to nasty people I find this very hard to believe you can get them from hotels

And they smell like stink bugs! So if you smell stink bug but don't see them, you've got bed bugs; they'll release this scent when they feel threatened...I don't wish them on anyone

After having them and working my a$$ off to get rid of them, now I freak out every time I’m in bed and a hair moves on my leg. We eventually had to tear out the wooden bunk beds and trash it. It’s definitely an experience that I don’t care to revisit.

Thats disgusting... bed bugs can invade any home. I had considered my home fairly clean and taken care of. When my wife complained about marks on her arm I took her to the doctor. The doctor didn't even know what it was but, did suggest it look like bed bugs but embarrassed to tell me. I went home and looked in the corner on my mattress and there they were. My wife went into a crazy mode she stripped everything. Boil heat etc. etc. I found the best thing that worked was alcohol. I sprayed it All over and watched them suffocate. I also learned they are attracted to carbon dioxide your breath...and thats how they know were to go and eat at night as you sleep. ANYWAY.. GOOD LUCK
just be careful with the alcohol it's very flammable. I think I picked up when I went to jury duty.

I had serious PTSD from a hotel room full of bed bugs! I was covered in bites from head to toe. We had to have our home exterminated since I brought them home, knowing nothing about them. Usually the bites are in groups of 3, in a fairly straight line. My exterminator said that's a classic sign and they call it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bed bug feeds, will lay there until able to eat again, move up a little, gorge, wait, and move up, gorge until they finally fall off. I have since learned how to find them in hotels and how to prevent bringing any home from the room. Now airplanes ... well, that's a different story all together.

I moved into some new dorms in the air force and got my first encounter with bed bugs, it's not fun. Don't fuck with them. I had to wash everything I owned that was fabric and spray everything down before I moved rooms. It was not fun. Luckily that worked and I never had them again. At that time I was also on quarentine for covid so I had to do all of that while I was sick.

Having bed bugs 8 years ago in a cheap rental has caused me to be traumatized for life. My man was allergic and when they “treated “ the apartment our bedroom was closest to the living room (where they put all our roommates stuff) and they came back full force. He ended up in the hospital from being bit so many times it was disgusting

Bro kill it. Those things survived anything I threw at it from the market like RAID BED BUG spray. They kept moving. I washed my clothes in hot water and high heat dry and I found one still waiting for me to put on! Its that traumatic!

One bad bus ride and my house had them for a whole year. We had to get a steamer and steam every single inch. Heat is the best way to kill them so putting stuff through the dryer and what not is a good method

This is why at hotels or Airbnb's I NEVER leave my clothes on the bed, floors, or anything. I always wipe off the tables, desks, and leave em on it. If I have a backpack it hangs in the closet as they'll have heavy duty hangers anyway.

Went to my dads(divorced parents) and he had conveniently forgotten to tell my mom that they had bed bugs, so my moms house got them too. They get into everything.
