How to Add Brush Textures in Paint Tool SAI 2 (+ Downloads)

NOTE: This guide is for the newest version of SAI 2 as of making this video (1st December 2022 update), so this might not work for older versions.

Please slow the video down if it's going too fast.

1. Download 'Brushes' from the link above and extract the file.

2. Click the extracted 'Brushes' to reveal 6 folders.

3. In a separate window, find the folder called 'SYSTEMAX Software Development' which should be in your Documents when you first downloaded SAI.

4. Follow SYSTEMAX Software Development - SAIv2 - settings

5. Open the window with the 6 folders that were just extracted alongside the 'settings' window from the previous step.

6. Drag and drop into 'brushfom' the folders 'blotmap', 'bristle' and 'brshape'. Replace existing folders with the new ones if prompted.

7. Lastly, drag and drop the folders 'brushtex', 'papertex' and 'scatter' into 'settings'

Extra: to delete ones that have 'error', follow SYSTEMAX Software Development - SAIv2 - settings - go through the 'blotmap' and 'bristle' folders, find the ones that have the same name as the ones errored in Sai and delete in those two folders.

Hello!! I have a question... Or maybe a problem? I can't import some clip studio paint brushes 🥺 but I don't know if it's because they're not compatible with paint tool or if I'm doing something wrong... These brushes are saved as ".Sut" as opposed to the default paint too brushes ".bmp* What would that mean?😢😢
