Everyone loves to see an animal that is an absolute unit, whether it’s a domestic pet or in the wild, there’s always something fascinating about the biggest of the big, dominating all his peers by sheer size. Who knows why we love huge things so much – after all, the bigger they are, the more terrifying they can be, too, right? Either way we are always impressed by a fine physical specimen, and so from the massive bear who loves to give his keeper hugs to the record breaking giant dog, here’s the 15 biggest animals of their kind!

Years ago I had people call the police on me for having a mountain lion. The animal control came out and laughed, because Oreo was just a big cat.

My dad's family had a bobcat mix and from what I heard he was huge! Also if you didn't get his treat from the store, he would give you hell

If we could stop giving attention to Doc Antle and his abusive bullshit sideshow, that'd be great. If you want to exhibit clips of his liger, Hercules, who was claimed to have been "accidentally" conceived when they left a male lion and female tiger together (yeah, suuure you did! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ ligers were known to be capable of being created by the interspecies breeding long before this and them "forgetting" is either a stupid excuse or just another demonstration of their MASSIVE tendency toward irresponsibility). Showing him and his son and his concubines enjoying life as they irresponsibility handle large, wild animals is tantamount to endorsing it. Is that the sort of message you want to send? That it's okay to mishandle and exploit animals as long as you make it look good/break records? Because that's what you're doing.

It is often stated that the male liger is infertile, but recent testing on spermatozoa has proven that this isn't necessarily the case. They have high enough levels of testosterone to facilitate sperm production. However they have very "slow swimmers" and they also don't produce as much ejaculate as a male lion, but in ideal circumstances their sperm could impregnate a female liger. It would just take a few more tries on the males part haha. What most people don't understand is that the population of ligers is not exactly huge. While this may have happened sporadically in the wild at one point in history, especially with the Asiatic lion and Bengal Tiger, all known specimens today exist in captivity. So ligers are quite rare when compared to other big cats, especially big cats in captivity. Because of this there are still a lot of questions about the species. For some time it was believed that female ligers were sterile, and yet this was proven false when a female liger at the Munich Zoo in Germany gave birth to a Li-Liger. Which is the product of a male lion and a female liger. So stating that the male liger is "infertile" isn't exactly scientifically accurate. So you can keep this video the way it is if you wish, but if you value and honor scientific fact then you might want to update that portion of the video. But hey you guys do whatever you want it is your channel after all haha.
