Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

The way Mike says 'mistakes happen' is so calming.
He may be a cold blooded killer but he is reasonable.

Whoever wrote Pryce's character is a television hero. What a nerdy, hilarious disaster.

"You took something that wasn't yours and you sold it for a profit. You are now a criminal." Awesome line!

I like how Mr. Glasses unabashedly chased after the dropped $20. The goal of such disrespect is to damage the other guy's ego...but, what if he doesn't have one? It's like having the ability to not feel pain.😄

_"Agreed amount or no deal."_

You can tell Mike's been in the sticker business for quite a while.

I do love that line.
"I didn't say you're a bad person, but you are a criminal."

Mike's best skills were doing his homework and reading people.

Every scene with Mike is a gem of intelligence & integrity.

"You are now a criminal. Good one, bad one...that's up to you"

Probably one of Mike's best quotes

how on earth he counted and found $20 missing from thousands in space of 5 seconds is the most impressive thing here.

Mike is like the lvl 100 character tagging along with a low lvl friend while he makes a deal with low lvl thugs

It’s smart that Mike stood his ground over 20 dollars because he knows that if they let it slide it than they are going to just keep shorting money so Mike making a fuss about it was a smart move

I love how down-to-earth and honest Mike was being towards Pryce, giving him advice on how to be a good criminal and that he is both good and bad by telling him that while he isn’t a bad person he is a criminal it shows you how experienced and what an excellent judge of character Mike is

Mike always needs the least amount of words to be the most powerful: "are you?"

Nacho did about 3 tests here.

Shorting $20 was to see whether they run tight business or let things slide. Then acting offended when acused of shorting was to see how they diffuse a dispute. Finally, letting the $20 fall on the ground was to see how Pryce reacts to being disrespected.

All that being said, you can tell what kind of person Pryce is within 10 seconds of meeting him.

Mike was the voice of reason throughout this entire saga.

"But if you make a deal with somebody, you keep your word."

That's wisdom right there.

$1500 with a lesson from Mike is really a bargain

There was a great comment in an older upload of this clip explaining that the short was actually a test. Had he accepted the short (as he would have without mike) they would continue to short him to the point where they can pretty much name the price without any retaliation or something of the sort. Mike calling out the 20 was basically him saying "you can't mess around with me, we aren't becoming your dogs"

I love how Mike was so confident that he would get the protection job that he didn't even bother to reveal the amount of legwork he put in until after the deal was finished. If Pryce hadn't asked, Mike probably would never have revealed it. Goes to show how knowledgeable Mike is about what info needs to be said and what doesn't.
