I'm tired of hearing this conversation. Those two game companies are in Japan where there is no fair use laws. If Nintendo wanted to sue. There would have been a lawsuit already. We would have never heard anything about pocket pair. We would have never had this game even remotely become popular. Nintendo's already released the statement with a bunch of corpo speaks saying that they're fine

Pokémon wasnt the first collect/fight mosters game. Outside similar looking creatures the games are entirely different so there's no real conflict, besides both companies are in and from Japan, dont you think if there was any case they could make, that they'd have jumped on it much sooner considering their laws there on copyright‽ Get really..

Btw just because it looks the same it still not the same thing and plus they were talking about mechanic and are investigating palworld and mostly using public community as evidence and talking about how even the community even says it's the same or smth like that

Pokémon copy/pasted from Dragon Quest and probably a few other games preceding Pokémon, copy/pasting isn't something new that PalWorld just invented, a ton of game companies have copy/pasted from other games and game companies, heck, at this point in time it's more cause for celebration if a game is made without any copy/paste at all as it is so prevalent these days.
Pokémon knows this, and that's why they can't sue PalWorld, because they know suing PalWorld for the same thing that they themselves did before PalWorld did it, would just open up the floodgates for the companies that Pokémon copy/pasted from to sue Pokémon.

In certain circles when people hear Pokemon is a dog fighting sim they complain and talk about how the process of beating up and capturing monsters is the process of Pokemon being friends.

Even if it was turn based Pokemon didn't invent turn based and is not the first monster collecting/taming game

Pokémon stole their concept from Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest in Japan).

Well... Except Palworld probably copied models too.

Capcom was forced to settle with a photographer who's photos they stole and used in RE4 so Palworld isn't safe yet. Nintendo sued an emulator a year after the evidence they used in court came out so assuming Nintendo does sue Palworld it's going to be a while.

Parodies isnt a valid argument because Japan has no fair use laws. It basically just boils down to, if there was a violation, Nintendo would have done something already.

Eh, Palworld as we all knew was popular on release but has since pretty much died and has a few HC gamers maybe. But that's it. It was a gimmick that didn't have much to it, there are other games doing what Palworld does but much better.

Its been almost 2 they stole nothing. We all know nitendo is alway uber trigger happy on lawsuits.
