I used to live two towns over from this house. It always amazed me how normal it looked. I don’t believe in ghosts but the Defoe part of the story always horrified me. My mom worked at Brunswick where they treated him. She never met the man but told me stories about people who did. That house taught me evil can live in the most ordinary places; to quote A Haunting.

I lived around the block from this house for awhile when I was younger. I always felt bad for the people that lived there during Halloween 🎃 so many people used to drive by

I saw this house out of my bedroom window, directly across the canal (Riverside Ave) for 2 years. I couldn't stop at 7-11 without giving directions to someone almost every day. It's weird how the movies portray it as almost rural and on a lake, it's a canal and probably 1/4th of an acre lot, maybe less.

St Charles cemetery in Farmingdale NY, is where they are buried. Not New Jersey. I used to work there and to pass by their graves always gave me an eerie feeling.
