We’ve watched this channel for a very long time, and the one consistency is that Michael and Jessica do not trespass. They go out of their way to stay off of private property, and are courteous and respectful of the current owners, and the neighbors. As long as they stay on the public access, they have as much rights, as anybody else. Courtesy and respect goes both ways.

The murder of the DeFeo family is a heck of a lot more terrifying than a haunted house.

My grandma was 16 years old when it happened and she lived in Amityville until she went to college. Her parents still live there. So I have heard a lot of stories about it from her. I have always been interested in the story because of that.

May the Defeo family rest in peace. These murders are extremely tragic as family with the exception of Ronny who passed in prison. Thank you for bring so respectful and explaining this sad piece of history with such kindnesses and compassion.

Over the years I had heard two stories about the house and what happened . One was that the Lutz's couldn't make the mortgage payments so came up with these stories to get out from under it and the other was that the oldest sister assisted Ronald with the killings . Great video as always guys , keep up the great work and stay safe out there .

Fun fact: Larry Zerner (Shelley in Friday the 13th Part 3) represented the Lutz family in some of their legal issues.

The Lutzes only lived there for 28 days, leaving everything behind except for a chest that was made for George by his grandfather. No neighbors on either side or across the street heard Defao shoot that rifle, and no silencer was used. No toxins were found in any of the 6 family members. Things don't add up if you think about it. The man who did buy the property not long after the Lutz family moved out still owned the house until his passing in 2018. It has since gone back on the market. Anyone who owns the house does not like people coming around to see it, hoping that they can live a life in peace, which they deserve, but because of what Ronnie Jr. did in 1974 (I was 3 years old when it happened) that house will never be left alone. I feel it should, and those who had and currently own it should be left alone. No one since the Lutzes have had any activity because something was done about it. The truth about the land prier to the homes existence was finally put to rest, as were the past hauntings that home faced until 1979. The memory of that tragedy in 1974 should also be left to rest in peace.

You and Jessica tell these horrific stories with a lot of class.
You normally do not show what should not be shown nor get too graphic, and you really do attempt to be as respectful as possible which is really cool.
Thank you for posting these bits of history which we hope will not be repeated.
I hope you both are doing well and Jessica, you look lovely as always.

All these years hearing the story and I will never be able to wrap my head around how he managed to shoot everyone 'while they slept'. After the first one, EVERYONE is going to be awake unless they were drugged or otherwise incapacitated. Beyond that... a true horror story for the Defeos.

Went by the house about 20 years ago and I will say the neighbors don't like people coming there. Great video:-)

At 0:44 - Ever notice that The Amityville House and The Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa have those same curved windows that the Amityville House does on the top floor?

I am pretty sure The Amityville House removed those windows, but prior to that both houses had those windows. And I've never really seen windows like that on a lot of homes.

(I swear there is another infamous murder house that have windows like that, I just can't remember what house it is).

Great video guys (as usual). I truly love this You Tube Channel!

I could not live in a house were such a crime took place. Haunted or not It is scary no matter how many times you redecorated.

This was so respectful...nice job. Amityville really should just embrace the history the way Fall River, MA has embraced Lizzie Borden’s place. Newsflash to Amityville...it’s NEVER going away. The DeFeo’s will never be forgotten! However, I do agree that the current occupants should be allowed to live in relative peace...but still, you knew what house you were buying....so you can’t stop or pretend people aren’t curious!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for respectfully covering the infamous Amityville case. Been obsessed with it for eons. I love it when any channel featuring it pops up, especially you guys. RIP to the DeFeos. My one thought on this house: beautiful, but deadly. Haunted or not (I'm a believer), I would never live there. Something's off about the energies there. But I digress. Would love to see you guys cover the case of Karen Silkwood (who died the same night as the DeFeos-11/13/1974).

Great video. Interesting how no one wants people near the house...yet they didn't tear it down.
