‘Murder Hornets’ Attack Officials Trying to Remove Nest

Another Asian Giant Hornet’s nest was found and eradicated in Washington State. It’s the first one to be found this year and officials say the hornets were not happy to see them. Last year the first nest of this invasive species, nicknamed the Murder Hornet, was found in October. Officials with the WSDA say the second nest was three times bigger and these bugs were ready to defend their home. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Cameraman is immortal, he is the most powerful character. He survived everything even a nuclear bomb, the cameraman still recording.

I believe the term “kill it with fire” applies here

Little as a detail as it may seem, I feel proud of the idea that we have developed so far and wide as a species that we’re able to effectively trap and handle a conscious murder hornet long enough to attach tracking devices on it for the sole purpose of seeking a potential colony of them. Super cool

Remember last year when we said that the murder hornets were just a filler episode? Turns out it was setting up this season

Few cameramen die. One was to a bug in Starship Troopers. His legacy is never forgotten. I salute this brave cameraman obtaining footage of the Murder Hornet.

If they didn’t get the Queen, the nest is still alive.

“And the officials say the hornets were not happy to see them.”

Did you think they’d have a welcome party? Of course they’d come after you 😂

We had a nest a block away from my home in B.C. last year. They’re HUGE! And nasty!!!

“Murder hornets attack people trying to remove their nest.”

How bizarre! I thought the intruders would be invited in for tea and cookies!

(I’m joking, I know what the headline means, it was just funny to me)

Crazy how japan has been living with these murder hornets since forever until it arrived here causing a mess. Gotta learn how they deal with it

As a zoologist with a special interest in invasive species, I love seeing them working so hard to eradicate this invasion before it can even start.

"We were approached by the hornets..." well that's a nice way of putting it. Makes them sound like a bunch of Japanese tourists asking for directions outside the public library. Did they really "approach you" or did they buzz up in your face, spraying you constantly with attack pheromones while stabbing those wasp-proof suits repeatedly with their inch-long horror stingers?!? I'm pretty sure it was the latter!!🐝
