I was stung 31times by African Honey Bees about 8yrs ago. It was scary to say the least. For about a yr afterwards any flying insects around me would induce panic.

When dealing with hornets or wasps, I didn't move my body while moving through a swarm, no swinging arms, no crossing legs in a normal stride: in an unnatural T pose, I moved my feet, keeping the forward foot ahead, stepping like a fencer; I was never stung regardless of the number that landed and took off again; the others had dozens of bites and stings, and in their flailing, their clothing had been invaded so that even after escaping the swarm they were still being assaulted.

This was scary! We do have hornets in Germany, you can hear them coming, they are like little cruise missiles. Hope these giants don’t come over to the european continent in some sort of a container or so!
