This clear truth needs to be emphasized in american churches especially.

This is the only way to interpret this without presuppositions. It's so crystal clear it's insane.

imo, Steve Gregg's book "Revelation, 4 views (parallel commentary)" should be required reading for all Christians. Read each school of thought and see which one makes sense. Thank you, Mr. Gregg!

In response to 5:25 (Not just Old Testament ) This is reconfirmed in New Testament as yet future in Acts 15:16, "After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
"

Here it is in more context.

Acts Chapter 15:7-18 (KJV)

7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Just as the (human) body is one and has many members, so also is Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 God will reveal the fullness of this in His time, but we now see Christ the Body being manifested to some degree in the Earth. There is a natural Israel and a spiritual Israel.

Steve, although I appreciate the clear Scripture linking "Israel" to much more than "ethnic Israel, " I think it is impossible to separate the two. I would argue for a dual significance.

This does not square with the whole of scripture. Israel's restoration may have been a type of salvation by faith, but it was also a specific fulfillment of the OT prophecies, which the prophets themselves did not fully understand. Surprising.

I take the approach that the knowledge of Christ alone is sufficient. I view Him as the whole ball of wax, so to speak. Or as Paul claims 'the sum of wisdom and knowledge'.

Many voices lead to distraction. If it is Christ you are following, keep your eyes on Him.

If I'm understanding the supreme place the knowledge of Christ holds correctly just focusing your heart on that knowledge should get you to the other shore in good shape.

Here is my issue with Steve Gregg. He has issues with needing to be right and refuses to ever be wrong. If he is challenged on his radio show, he will overpower the person, use grammatical words to cause confusion and if that doesn't shut a person down, he hangs up on them. If you disagree with him or his moderators on his website forum, he will call you "evil" and remove you from his website. If you go on either of his Facebook pages, he claims to be a public figure but you can't comment on his page without permission. This keeps him in control at all times and doesn't allow anyone to show others where he is dead wrong. He shames pastors for taking money as well as those who charge money for their resources, yet he sells his books on Amazon. He is making money off of his biblical views in his books and discriminating against the poor who can't read his books unless they can pay for them, all the while condemning others for being paid to peddle the Word of God. He also shames those who get Christian counseling or whom, God forbid would take any medications for brain issues. He apparently believes he knows more than trained professionals when it comes to behavioral and relational issues, even though he is on his fourth marriage. He is in severe denial about his own issues and is harming those who need professional help by telling them all they need is the Bible. He worships the Bible instead of Jesus and he has absolutely NO fruit. If you listen to his radio show you will see that most of his callers are men because his treatment of women is emotionally unsafe. It is unfortunate that he refuses to admit when he is wrong instead of just removing people who disagree with him because he is stuck in his sin of pride, arrogance and self righteousness. He even stated at one time that he doesn't sin very often, wow talk about denial. Apparently he is so out of touch with his thoughts and emotions he doesn't even realize how sinful he is.
