What other test so i need..i have a soil substrate capped with sand will be adding different size aggregate in areas..have a few plants..some from my lake and some baby tear and shamrock.. No fish for a bit not even close to cycled yet.. Thank you for not being too long winded and straight to the point.. I bought the api test kit because of you... Your vids are awesome

I just find API test kit very time consuming. I use Tetra 5-in-1 or Tetra 6-in-1 and separate Ammonia test strips which I cut lengthwise to get two strips out of one. Easy, fast and reliable so far. Get all the parameter results in just a minute.

I usually don't use the high ph test if the regular test is less than 7.6....

Those test strips go bad and the kit still works after expired. My kit expired in 2017. Still works great.
