If you want a complex, very presicion test kit go for api master kit
I'd you want simple, very accurate test kit go for best test strips they sell now
*if you look again in said that the test strips are accurate and simple, by meaning of very accurate means that the strips will read an accurate but not very presicion like the api. So the difference between them is 5 to 10 percent in accuracy difference.*

I keep African Cichlids……so the most important thing to me is Ph, GH, KH, and Nitrates. The strips give me that + Nitrite. I keep a Seachem Ammo alert on the tank…..so that’s covered. Strips may actually cost more per test…..but it’s just too darn easy to use them.

Theres actually no baseline as to which test kits are accurate. Test strips are just harder to read than api liquid test kit ones

Api master kit is only 26$ for 100 tests of each, and btw strips don’t have ammonia u need to buy it separate. Strips are more expensive tbh If u get good ones like tetra which are 12$ for 25

Those strips you're talking about never showed me the exact nitrate reading. always say very high although was not there at all.

Yea api is faulty.. i tested tank water, bottled, distilled and tap water and all came back .25 ppm.. aint no way its has ammonia in bottled and distilled water
