Guys want to argue online. I read and watch but I have no desire to holler at some stranger and make myself look ridiculous. For some reason, a lot of men either fail to perceive how ridiculous they appear or fantasize that they’re “owning” a host.

Woman here and I listen everyday, and whenever I miss a few days because of work or sick, I binge all day long to catch up 😂

I would never call in simply because I have a lot of social anxiety on the phone. In person I'd be able to come up with a sensible intelligent question, no problem. On the phone, I'd get so flustered and stumble through my words like a Trump rant 😢

I know usually it's the opposite with people, but I'm Neurospicy and for some reason I do better when I can see social cues and people's faces instead of listening to a voice on the phone with no face to look at.

I'm offended (not really). I'm a 67 year old female, and I always watch your shows. You never let anyone get your goat. True, most men call you because they think they can get the best of you. Those who agree with you usually just call to show support. And they, as far I can tell, are real men.

Count me as one of the minority then, I guess!! This lady tries not to ever miss a DP show. The majority of my news comes from great youtube channels such as this one and has been for many years now. I will never go back to mainstream media because I seek the full truth-- not just a sensationalized one-sided story created for ratings.

My only complaint about callers calling the show is that many times (i mean no disrespect this is just my opinion) the questions arent that great. Meaning I find the questions sorta pointless or not that important.

I think men also have a different way they address questions and differences. I'm not going to call in to fight someone over a difference in perspective. I'll comment, but that's about it. I also would much rather leave a question in the comments than call in to ask.

I would think of all the Progressive YouTube channels, yours would be the one more equally view by men and women. As a women, I prefer the calm measured voice of reason in your commentary and accuracy in reporting of facts. I won’t name names but there can be a lot of grandstanding and self promotion on othe channels. I often have to fact check them using the “corporate media” that they constantly degrade as being completely inferior.

The comment sections are full of trolls, bots, and also what may be actual Progressives that bitter.

I’m often addressed as “dude”, a sure sign I need to ignore the post.😂

My previous assumption, supported by comments here, was that women want to listen to someone intelligent, whereas men want to be heard.

I watch this show to try to understand what’s going on in the US through the lense of a person who is sane and intelligent.
I have watched some of the other shows, like TYT, but found them to be loud and aggressive. Not my style. Maybe that is one thing which prevents women from enjoying these type of shows? Another thing is that I think educated and/or smart women don’t primarily watch opinion shows. Maybe men are slightly more into arguing over who is right and picking a team? And maybe women just want to understand what’s going on and then want to hear what you can do to fix the problems, rather than be outraged about them or yell at someone that they’re wrong.
I prefer facts over opinions. Unless it’s David P’s opinion. I am interested in hearing his.

WRT ESG funds -there's no such thing as ethical consumption in a capitalist economy.
You can make a LOT more difference with general investment and using the additional profit to make a specific difference > donate it to someone who can help make ALL business more sustainable if thats your main goal.

That’s interesting with the demographics. I always thought it would be opposite. I’m a woman and most of my media for politics is independent media.
