Thank you for this…. As I watch many of the top 10 lists it gives me ideas for games to play.
For me, I will play a game 5 times prior to give judgement... if it isn't my cup of tea, I will trade it or sell it to a gamer that enjoys that particular game. What makes this hobby so great is that all interests are represented.

"Rearranging the deck chairs" was a great analogy. I felt that hard.

Chancellorsville is a famous Civil War confrontation. Famous for Stonewall Jackson's flanking maneuver that totally caught the Yanks off guard. Lee divided his smaller army in the face of the enemy and won a major victory. Anyway, very well known conflict.

Caesar Rome vs Gual looks really cool! Worthington Games has had some super games recently, I really like Napoleon Returns & Chancellorsville 👍👍. Great video! Battle of Benny Hill!!!! 😄😄😄😄 Que the music! 🎵🎵

It's a solid diverse list and not too GMT heavy - even though GMT is good it's healthy to see plenty of alternate publishers too. Big Thanks.

Good list! Once you get into GMT, it's hard not to want everything on their website.

Always enjoy your annual top 10. Envious of how many games you got to the table this year!

Chancellorsville was a major victory for the CSA but the cost was losing Stonewall Jackson, killed by friendly fire while night scouting. There are those that say it made Lee feel invisible and led to him heading North, which ended at Gettysburg. So the battle is very well known.

Great list Cody, Thanks! Chancellorsville/Freeman’s Farm probably comes down to which “Theme” one likes. But alas, now I must check out Chancellorsville because I Loved Freeman’s Farm!

I have to agree, GMT killed it this year. Imperial Struggle was my 2020 #1. It's sad to see Fantasy Flight take such a nosedive.

Fantasy Flight games are definitely going down in my estimations - whilst Compass Games are going up! Seeing you love those GMT games makes me think you should check out some Compass titles like Europe in Turmoil (another Twilight Struggle inspired system) or Attrition of Souls.

Well Cody that makes me want to try quite a few games!! Versailles 1919 & Chancellorsville seem great! Havent made up my mind on Imperial Struggle, but it would be a great game to complement TS in the shelf :)

~ great vid Cody, I only have four 'faves' of 2020 and they're all on your list (in my order): #4 - Imperial Struggle; #3 - Caesar: Rome vs Gaul; #2 - Dune: Imperium; #1 - Versailles 1919.. let's see 2021 beat that! 😃😒

Sounds like a surefire way to make it on to Cody's list is to be kinda like Twilight Struggle. 😆

Great list! One correction to offer: Project ELITE is NOT Zombicide or Zombicide-adjacent. It’s a real-time game originally Kickstarted by Artipia Games and Drawlab as “Elite”. It had some uproar about the mini quality (they were somewhat blobby) and poor communication during the whole production and fulfillment process. There was, I’m presuming, some background tension between the two companies, but regardless the relationship fractured. CMON stepped in, rebooted it very successfully, and arguably “saved” a great game – or at least made it much more widely available. I am recalling this from memory and have left out many nuances, but the key point is this is NOT Zombicide-related.

Most (or at least me) would prefer a best from all time as of XXXX over best of year XXXX. When I buy a game, it's not because it's the best of the year (could be among the least when compare to previous years). Also, nice video !
