Fantastic list! I am very surprised that You didn't have "Liberty or Death" by GMT on it as it is simply superb! Especially for someone who appreciates history - one of my favourite COIN games.
Regarding the title: Is it not supposed to be games about USA? I actually though You will have games about both American continents... 😂🤦🏻‍♂️🤠 Keep up the great work!!! Thank You for another great material!!!

I’m glad Votes for Women was on the list. I like heavier games but that game is elegant and intuitive. Look for their upcoming Supreme Court game to also be a top game.

Excellent list! Thanks for explaining the reason for each entry.

I would definitely put Founding Fathers (2007) and any game in the Great Campaigns of the American Civil War series in my list, as well as Bull Moose, the 1912 election in the US.

And great choice for #1. Would be mine as well. So good and fun!

A House Divided is definitely my favorite strategic level game of the Civil War and may be my favorite strategic level historical game, period.

In the spirit of democracy and the Shining City on the Hill, I think this channel should have more viewer input.

I propose that we, the people, vote on the next video that Cody does. My suggestion is 'Cody's Top Ten Games with the letter Q in the title'

Thank you helping us discover new games about the USA. Have you played “The Confederate Rebellion” by White Dog Games? I just ordered it and it looks very interesting, very accessible, well organized, small footprint, but a comprehensive overview of the dynamics involved in the civil war.

Excellent list. Some games I've played recently that might have fit this category are American Civil War by GMT, Comancheria by GMT (excellent solo game), and Geronimo (old Avalon Hill game covering the Indian Wars - suffers from fiddly rules and 1990s rule book, but great game).

A Touch of Evil should have an honorable mention 😄. I am looking to buy Comancheria or Navajo Wars, hadn't heard of Plains Indian Wars before.

There is going to be a Steam version of Mr. President. We are saved!

Great list! I really enjoy the theme, gameplay, and overall aesthetics of 1775: Rebellion. However, we’ve noticed that the outcome often hinges on a specific strategy involving the truce cards. If a team plays one truce card and holds the second, they can simply wait for a round where they go last—which happens 50% of the time—then play the second truce card and use their remaining four moves to spread out as much as possible.

But somehow this approach feels a bit both anti-climactic and somewhat unthematic, as it encourages an overly aggressive expansion that wouldn’t normally be viable due to the following lack of defensive support - I know it’s just a game, but still! 🤓😁

Have you encountered this issue before? I’d love to hear your thoughts because I really enjoy the game, and good team-based games are hard to come by. Hopefully, you can change my mind! 🍀🤞🥳

Yeah, sometimes the Worthington game rules are a bit opaque. I think it was Freeman’s Farm where my friend and I were looking on BGG and YouTube for explanations.

Flying Pigs A Most Fearful Sacrifice. Have not played in many a year but Rail Baron…might be dated however.

These are great historically themed games. Another game set in post-apocalyptic America is Fallen Land 2nd edition.

Have you tried Founding Fathers by Rick Heli? Seems like your kind of thing.

Your thoughts on Corrupt Bargain: The 1824 Presidential Election, Decision Games. Don't own it yet, but I do want it in my collection. And The Guns of Gettysburg, Mercury / Simmons Games. Do own, have played, did enjoy. Like that entire Academy series.

I was hoping that GMT's The US Civil War, with its fantastic map would make the list. Oh yes, its rules are quite deep and I must admit that my three usual opponents have given up on the game (for now) due to its complexity level. Still, I hope to lure one of them or another opponent to play the The US Civil War in the future. Any fans of this game in Oklahoma? Must I try to play it solitaire? Or must I be limited to playing A House Divided?

If you like Fortress America, you should look into "Amerika" by Historical Board Gaming. It depicts the Continental U.S.A. being invaded by Germany in the east and Japan in the West after a successful Axis victory in World War II everywhere else. It's VASTLY superior to Fortress America, in my opinion.
