'God Save the King/Queen' at the Royal Wedding | From Princess Elizabeth to Princess Eugenie Wedding

The video this time features "God Save the King / Queen" at the wedding of members of the British Royal Family, from the wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten in 1947 to the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

Of course not everything is available in this video, causing a bit of flaws in this video. Like the absence of "God Savd the Queen" at Princess Margaret's wedding in 1960, Princess Anne's first and second marriage, and the marriage of other members of the British Royal family, because it is very difficult to find "God Save the Queen" during their wedding ceremony.

For the wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 is not available, because the wedding was carried out privately and only attended by a number of members of the United Kingdom because it was during the Covid-19 pandemic.

List:
00:00 = a little information from the video
--------- = intro (Royal Trumpets Fanfare) [copyright]
00:06 = 1947 | Wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten
01:02 = 1981 | Wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer
02:48 = 1986 | Wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
03:38 = 1999 | Wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones
04:27 = 2005 | Wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles
05:27 = 2011 | Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton
06:21 = 2018 | Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
--------- = 2018 | Wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank [copyright]
07:06 = not available for Princess Beatrice's Wedding as the reception was held privately during the covid-19 pandemic

Sorry, this video was cut during the intro and at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank due to copyright.

Of course there are many flaws in this video, so if you have suggestions or find other sources, please comment below.

Sorry, for the opening and the time of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding lost due to a copyright claim. And the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana took place in St. Paul Cathedral is not in Westminster Abbey. And if you want to see (Highlight-Mix) from 7 wedding events into 1 version of the song "God Save The Queen" please click:

"God save the Queen" at the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana gives me thrills everytime i listen it. The choirs were celestials. First Time, i listen to Prince Edward wedding version, remarkable. The organs were too present at Prince Harry wedding. Thanks, it's Beautiful.

Charles and Diana were married at St Paul’s Cathedral!
The version sung at Charles and Diana’s wedding has a beautiful descant sung by the sopranos and tenors!

Imagine on the day of your wedding, you have to sing this song to your new mother-in-law. Talk about setting the tone.

The best version is from Charles & Diana's wedding however reportedly the Queen did not like it which is why it was never used again after this.

Great video but slight heads-up, the Prince and Princess of Wales were married at St Paul's Cathedral, not Westminster Abbey. You can tell by the very distinctive black and white flooring which is iconic of the cathedral.

I loved this. I noticed that her family respectively sings the song with Prince Phillip singing loud and proud. I saw the one at Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding but it didn't say what it was from so I was wondering what that one was from since I thought she looked very miserable. Now that I know where it came from I a little surprised but who knows she may have had indigestion.

Such a shame there aren’t publicly available recordings of the National Anthem at the weddings of Princess Margaret & Lord Snowden, The Duke & Duchess of Kent, Princess Alexandra & Sir Angus Ogilvy and Princess Anne & Captain Mark Philips.

I've always felt that the queen mother had such a presence and kind of an aura around her every time I see her in a video

Interesting that as the years passed they sang GSTQ faster. The first one was very slow indeed.

Elisabeth being Queen: 1952-2022
My mom: born in 1948, died in 2021 :'(
for many people Elisabeth was the Queen throughout their entire lives

Is it in the tradition that the current queen or king doesn’t have to sing for the national anthem? Is it because it’s a song to them, similar to being sung happy birthday to you?
