Mary Ann McHattie has been a Lee Health volunteer for years. “I’ve just been going and going and it’s a lot of fun,” said McHattie.

She’s just started a new role, serving tea and treats to hospital staff. “It made us feel special and the ladies really are in tune to it, they’re really genuine and dedicated and that made us feel that much better,” said healthcare worker Erin Rounsifer.

She also hands out specially made cards that showcase positive words of affirmation. “We all saved them, we have them all in our computers and we look at them every day,” said Rounsifer.

Giving staff a short break from their normal routine, while letting them know how appreciated they are. “They really just made such a difference, we were all so excited about the tea and the cards and we talked about it for days,” said Rounsifer.
