It’s a myth that E.T. caused the video game crash of ‘83-‘84, it was already well underway and in fact was one of the factors leading to the game’s low sales. Atari had a TON of unsold games that pretty obviously weren’t going to sell. Rather than stash them away in some warehouse and risk them being discovered and stolen, Atari decided to destroy them. It was more of a cost saving measure to bury them as it would have cost more to utilize other methods such as burning them.

Put holes randomly in any hollow tube and it'll still make musical notes, the trick is to put it in the right place to make a musical scale. The key bit of missing info here is if the holes in the bone make a scale or not.

That body puzzle is called "composite burial" and weirdly enough, it was somewhat common thousands of years ago. Even adding parts centuries after the og ones was not uncommon.

But almost all of these are just bones, the use of mummification is the weird part.
