Sigma 18-50 looks much better on Fuji than Sony a6***. Fuji film simulations is always the best for me. Nice combination and I thinking to get one over the Fuji 16-55 2.8 which is too big.

Thanks for the video. is there a way to use the aperture ring on the Sigma lens to control the aperture? Currently the front command dial on the XT5 controls the Sigma lens' aperture. It would be much easier if the Sigma's aperture ring could be used instead.

I am about to get a Fuji X-H2 (40 mp) and considering the Sigma 18-50 2.8 instead of the Fuji 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 as my main general lens. Does this make sense?

Well - i wouldn't call a 2.8 super fast. What's 1.4 then? Ultra fast??? And 1.2? Super sonic fast??? 🙂 But still - it's a nice lens. But it seems to have one big downside that you don't say anything about. At least mine have. Whenever I zoom the focus goes crazy. This makes it totally useless for video if I zoom as I'm filming. It's the same result on my X-T5 as on my X-E4. I have this lens for Sony as well, and that one works perfectly. Maybe it's just my particular lens that there is something wrong with.
