why Itto becomes so much STRONGER with Gorou | Genshin Impact

Arataki Itto and Gorou are a nearly inseparable DPS and support duo who released together back in 2.3, and since they're both enjoying their first rerun rate-up banner in the latter half of 2.7, I figured it was time to talk about why Gorou comes out on top as Itto's best buffer and support, surpassing the abilities of even the strongest buffers in the game when it comes to supporting Itto.

I also just realized that I didn't even factor the 25% DEF bonus gorou provides when using his burst so actually he'll end up buffing Itto by much more than just 14% higher than Bennett, the calculations in the video are accurate under the assumption that you're only using gorou's skill to buff itto.

With Gorou's Burst, he's actually buffing Itto's total rotation damage by 45% (1, 213, 950 geo DMG), which is actually 19% stronger than a high investment Bennett

also something you forgot to mention in the calculation is that Bennett buffs in a lot of cases might expire before itto burst ends and also itto can easily knock enimes outside Bennett circle while gorou buff itto can actually snapshot it, gorou is by far the best itto support

If Hoyoverse decided Geo cannot react with Dendro. I hope in the future, they can add 3 or 4 same Element Characters instead of 2. So it can help a lot for Itto's comp or Geo way better.

Mono Geo also helps nullifies Itto's high cost energy issues. Say you have all characters in geo, in no time after using his burst, it immediately recharges before you know it.

I used Zhongli, Itto, Gorou, and Bennett on first release, then I built Albedo a bit so he's in that team now. An Abyss clear is a clear :)

This whole shtick of specialized supports is imo good for the balance and variety in the gameplay. What's great with Gorou is that he fulfills his niche well even at c0. Mine is only c2, ran in mono geo, so in terms of damage increase he contributes as much as c0, and he still does it really well. I'm excited to get him to c6 in the upcoming banner.

So here's my story with these two- I'm a huge Gorou simp. I waited FOREVER for him to come out. I saved EVERY primogem for him. I hadn't pulled since the Kazuha banner, so every single Inazuma primo was all his. I even pre-farmed mats for him, which I had never done before.

Suffice to say that after all this story build up and how much I wanted him, I was a little disappointed that he was 100% a support unit with no real offensive capability, and a very niche one at that.

I ended up doing so many pulls that I got an Itto. I thought, "well, I mean, I want to use Gorou. I might as well." So i raised him.

I'm still kind of pissed that Gorou can't really stay on the field for too long during combat and doesn't really do damage, but at least he's part of a great combo.

I love 3 to mono Geo team comp for Itto, it's like a big fuck you to elemental reactions on how much raw damage he does. Love him to bits ♡

thats why i was so salty when i got itto early winning 50/50 at 35 pity and didn't get a single gorou after another 60+ pulls (stopped because i didn't wanna risk 5 star). Also that banner was so unforgiving because the other 4 stars you could get is barbara and xiangling, both of which are the first 2 characters i have C6 of. I got him the next patch 3x in a row on the standard and I have C3 now.

My issue is that I only have C2 Gorou... but also a C2 Itto 🙃 So I really would like to get more Gorous, I don't reaaaally need more Ittos.
It's a nice problem to have, as the C2 Itto cost my like 150 wishes only, but yeah, I really would like to see Gorou on other banners, like Zhongli or Albedo, so I can pull for them while also getting Gorou Cons

Gorou is my only character that has a 4 star set (exile) cause it works so well on him
