i have a theory... Itto and Ayato are Dante and Vergil from the dmc games...

listen! (or, you know, _read_ lol)

Itto is a red oni. Dante's signature colour is red and he's half a demon (and oni can be roughly translated to mean 'demon'). They both have white hair. Dante uses a huge sword (the rebellion) and Itto uses a greatsword. Dante wears a trenchcoat but decides to show off his abs (specifically in dmc 3) and Itto wears a trenchcoat and shows off his abs. They both have similar personalities as they're both kind of comic relief in their respective games. they're both 'cool' and 'rebellious' characters but are also just lovable people if you get to know them. hmmm... and Itto keeps referring to Ayato as 'bro' which brings me to my second point...

Vergil and Ayato are (almost)the same. They're both associated with the colour blue. Ayato's elemental skill reminds me of Vergil's clone move which has him spawn a blue transparent clone to fight his opponent along with him. (specifically from the Dmc: Devil may cry game) I guess Ayato's clone doesn't necessarily fight alongside him but he still makes a blue transparent clone during his skill. Vergil and Ayato both use swords more specifically katanas (u can argue that Ayato doesn't necessarily use only katanas cause u can give him any sword but aha! his *signature* weapon can be specified as a katana. I'm not sure tho cause I'm not well-versed in types of swords). even Ayato and Vergil's personalities match. Vergil is more tactful and serious when compared to Dante. So is Ayato when compared to Itto.

Lastly, both pairs of bros originate from the same region and not only the same region but from Inazuma which is the Japan of Genshin. And the publishers that made DMC are Japanese! (okay, maybe this is a reach but the first I heard of dmc was from its anime and, believe it or not, when I was young, I thought all anime characters were Japanese. funny cause Dante and Vergil are obviously NOT Japanese names lol)

In conclusion, I'm just a huge fan of dmc and I might be totally wrong lol. It's just crazy how similar these characters are.

If you wanna see a totally different style from his VA, I highly suggest Code Vein, which is free on ps4 for ps plus members for March, which not only Max Mittlemen(Itto) is in, but also Kira Buckland(Kuki Shinobu) and Keith Silverstein(Zhongli) also have parts in. Almost guaranteed you won't know Max's voice when you first hear it
