The Swing Caddie SC4 is both a complete simulator and portable launch monitor. For use both indoors and outdoors, the SC4 delivers professional grade swing and ball flight metrics. In simulator mode, the SC4 connects with the included MySwingCaddie App, providing a complete virtual display along with metrics and stats. To further enhance the simulator experience, the SC4 is fully compatible with E6 Connect / Optishot Orion and its suite of photorealistic courses (optional subscription). In outdoor use, the SC4 can be used as a standalone unit (no smart phone required) with its vivid display featuring carry distance, launch direction, swing speed, ball speed, smash factor, launch angle, apex, and spin rate. For a more advanced experience, the SC4 connects directly to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth allowing golfers to save their tracked data, record their swings, and produce swing overlays. The included remote control, voice output of distance, and rechargeable Lithium Ion battery ensures both the highest level of experience and convenience.

Thanks for this video. This will probably be my next purchase. I’m looking for a sim to improve my range sessions.

Great review David. I think this shows that the SC4 is a decent launch monitor for the price. It held it's own against Trackman!!

I think it would be helpful to show the data from all three on the screen at the same time. Had a bit of trouble following which was which

Nice video mate! Wouldn't it be great to know the actual measured data until the ball hits the screen before the algorithm kicks in! We don't want to be paying an extra 30K for an algorithm right? Outdoors its trackman everyday! But indoors how much does the algorithm contribute to the result when comparing devices? You would think that even the cheap devices get the actual available data up to 3 meters away!

Still waiting for a camera based unit, one the doesn’t need to be5 ft behind the ball and without the mlm 2 subscription fees.
Still holding out for Garmin to bring out such a unit.

Not bad. The SC4 is quite accurate considering the price. And for all clubs. Yes, it isn't a great computer simulator for playing practice rounds but overall it makes much more sense over the expensive 20K+ simulators. Those only make sense when you are a high level amateur or pro who needs that wedge to be accurate to the yard

I've been torn between the SC4 and the MLM2Pro for Outdoor Range work ONLY. Since they both seem to have gotten some type of software updates and their results have been improved upon, its a confusing decision to make. I like the idea I DO NOT have to drag around a ipad or place my iphone on a stand with the SC4, but the cameras of the MLM2Pro are interesting. Do you have any pro's or cons ?

The one thing I have to mention for anyone who is looking at the SC4 is that Swing Caddie's customer support is horrible. They released another firmware update a couple weeks ago that renders the practice mode all but useless due to a radical increase in swing speed and decrease in ball speed and smash factor. I've reached out twice to them and the response is basically a brush off. The fact that they release firmware updates with what seems like no beta testing or explanation is very frustrating. The unit is still helpful in the SWG speed training mode but had I known how terrible their support was I never would have bought this. There's just no excuse for this subpar level of support.

Is this the best budget launch monitor in your opinion?

Seems spin rate is still a bit off with the SC4. With the carry numbers and others generally much closer. Any ideas why?

I saw a comment that said it doesn't do shot shaping? So you are unable to practice cuts, fades, draws? Any Launch monitors in that price range that does?

I have seen a lot of people use this in sims, but how about on the range on grass with range balls? Any first hand experience with it there? That's where the rubber kind of meets the road in my opinion. Thanks.

All I would want would be carry and if I’m slicing or drawing.

Can the SC4 be used for swing speed without hitting balls? Just for speed training with super speed or rypstick...

Looks like I have just wasted a lot of money on a Trackman IO 😂

R u kidding?
Do not compare SC4 to Track man...
SC4 is rubbish...
Total Carry is incorrect... Total carry-Carry= Run distance is around 15~20m in any Spin and Apex...
Launch direction is shown as may the SC4 want to show... even full push or pull, in to our or out to in... it does not show and proper launch direction...

Engineeres in Voice caddie is not professioneral engineer about ballistics.
They do not know what is a Spin, Apex, Launch Direction and correlation between Spin/apex and Run distance...

SC4 is not worthy to buy... Just waste money and time...
