I went with the MLM2PRO last year and had zero issues with it and zero regrets. I think it is a great monitor. Before I had children, I got down to a +2 handicap. Now that I have 4 children, I don't have a lot of time to golf but want to make the most out of the time that I have. I work from home so I figured getting a launch monitor and hitting balls on my lunch hour, on my patio, would help my game and it has. Even though I still remember all my distances from when I was in my 20's and 30s, they aren't the same as now. Changing carry distance by 5-10 yards on a course can greatly affect your score. Carry distances on the MLM2PRO are spot on. Practicing 50, 60, 70, 80 yard wedge shots is with the MLM2PRO is better than doing it at a range in my opinion. Many might not like the $200 dollar yearly membership but it is a lot cheaper than the money I would spend on range balls working on the range.

Looking at the MEVO+ because i really want that face impact data, but also no subscription is nice. I don't need a ton of simulator courses, just handful is sufficient for me

Nice roundup. I had the launch pro and HATED the subscription, it felt like price-gouging to me. Based on your review(s), I bought the Mevo+ last year and never looked back and have been extremely satisfied with the data I get from the unit! Thanks, Sean!

I've had the Mevo+ since it was available, and then I added the pro. I only use it in the garage, and set up has become very easy, with some tape on the floor. I would also recommend this .. I have had zero issue with it.

Seriously...these bait and switch sales tactics with the subscription stuff (bushnell, rhapsodo), etc are just not consumer friendly. If you need $4000 as a company to make your profit, charge 4k. If you need to keep generating revenue after that, put out better products every 2 years that are better than the last iteration and we will buy it and you can make your profit again. super lame and confusing. no one wants to think that hard.

the thought of having to pay a subscription to use a hardware feature on a product i have already paid for is just unacceptable. probably gonna go with an r10 just for this reason, even though i would LOVE to have (and am totally willing to pay ONCE for) the extra features of the MLM2PRO

Built a putting green outside in my backyard, now i want an outside hitting net with a launch monitor nothing fancy . Need easy set up etc also will need a mat for hitting into the net.

Thanks for doing this, really insightful.

I got my R10 at the tail end of the third bout of COVID, after being on the wait list for 8 months, BUT with a pretty cool discount.
Anyway, I use it on the range, which gives pretty good data, though (as far as I know), there’s no feature that takes range balls into account.

However, the best thing is taking it on course, during practice rounds. I’ve used for ball fitting (which ball fits my swing best), how far do I hit my clubs in changing temperatures e.g. it’s now 0• C (32• F)and how far does my 7 iron go with my gaming ball, compared to when it’s 10• C, or, 20• C, (50• F, and 84• F respectively). But, mostly I use it for wedge gapping, full swing GW, SW & LW; grip down GW, SW & LW; and 9 to 3 swing GW, SW and LW. That really gave me 9 different yardages under 100m (110 yards), which really got my handicap down from 21 to 13.2 as it is now. I do the wedge gapping about once a month with changing temperature and it really helps.

I had both —R10 and MLM2–and the camera quality of the MLM2 is outstanding. Plus it uses the built in camera freeing up your cell phone for a face on view as well.

The Garmin requires you to setup your phone for video.

I sold the Garmin kept the Rapsodo mainly to use indoor simulator. And bought the Full Swing for outdoor range club fitting.

I've got my 9x12 enclosure and Mevo Plus ready to set up in my garage. Just need to clean the garage out and organize first.

Which can I use for golf simulator...watching in case I missed something. Something for my garage and I can play courses "cheaply" with my son/wife/fam. Like can we do a 4some?

Your backdrop is awesome. Is it a virtual forest backdrop or your actual window? Would love this for my work zoom calls. 😊

Question for the the group - I have an our door set up in my back yard. Nothing overly fancy, just hitting into your stand 10x7 golf net. My Question - which one of these is going to show me the flight of my ball on an ipad? Or do they all do that? If so, which one does it the best? Thanks!!!

Was leaning hard to the Skytrak+ because it sets adjacent to the ball. Got a big frown when you mentioned it doesn't work in grass.

Really appreciate all the reviews you've done, been researching getting a launch monitor for a mini golf sim/range in my backyard. Going with the mevo+ mainly for the accuracy as well as the no subscription fees. Ordered the 2023 model used on ebay for just over a thousand.

Ok here is my dilemma .. I live in an apartment so no simulator for me and I’m torn between the Garmin and the Rapsodo. Which one has the best features as far as capturing videos or my swing that I can see instantly while I’m at the driving range ? That way I can see what I’m doing wrong instantly

Great information. Been eyeing a LM for some time, but plan on taking it to my club and range. The FS Mevo + is what I want, but the setup has kept me from purchasing it. I am hopeful FS releases a new unit that is quicker to setup (self leveling).

Slytrak+ cons pause and small hitting area, mevo+ space, Uneekor eyemini at $1000 off (recently) plus all club data included, range software is free. Obviously it would be great if their sim software was better but as you said subscription fee for 2nd party is low and given the sizable foreign consumer base (income) and recent corporate relocation to the US (growth) I’d guess they’ll be looking to improve to the gold standard pretty quickly. And you can integrate a weight transfer mat and swing cameras for very reasonable costs at any time. Or fully unlock at the original rate at any time. BLP accuracy and price with no necessary fees and plenty of options with no penalties for the future. If I had the space I’d have gone mevo+ but I feel like some of the Uneekor value us getting overlooked here.
