Sextortion scam reveals your real password as a hook to bribe you

It came in on Friday. Scared the hell out of me.  Gave me 24 hours to pay up. Honestly not sure what I clicked on to trigger it. I suspected a dating site but can't say for sure. There was no way I would pay. Only way they could have gotten a video was to physically break in and remove some electrical tape that covers my camera. (camera shy) I was worried about a key logger since they did provide a partial password, A rootkit scan came up empty,   they system showed no remote access, To be safe I disabled the camera hardware, started changing passwords, made sure remote access was disabledVery unsettling, the email is written to maximize fear factor, You will feel violated I also would suggested external drive images so you can daily restore .Will do banking from a mac  until things pan out.

traumatizing especially how rapid the
demand kept coming. But I conquered the
demon in them through CSL, I got mine
