How to make Pull Request and Open Source contribution

I still do not see how to work in specific issue that is already in the Origin. I mean I saw an issu in the Origin, I wnat to work on it, I forked, I created a branch, I worked, then I need to PR to the Origin BUT should be somehow connected to specific issue not to the main of the origin.
