I’ve had one for 4 years and one of the reasons I bought it was I put down a deposit for the GT4 R/S Cayman now this car was in development at the time and I was first in the queue so to speak, my wife and myself have a buying history with the only dealership on the island . On my way back I passed by the BMW showroom and saw this M2 sat in the showroom in sunburst orange I fell in love and bought it right there and then ! After years of 911 ‘s I was so impressed with this M2 competition . I should have known better though as the salesman called me from Porsche nearly 3 years later informing me that the owner of the Porsche dealership had given away the first two allocations to other customers who it turns out paid 60, 000 euros premium to secure the first two cars and they honestly thought I was going to do the same for the third car allocation !!
Tbh I couldn’t care less as I was so happy with my M2 competition and want to order the M2 CS which is being developed but the shape does not endear me like my M2 so I’ll wait until I see a car with less camouflage testing before I commit because 500 bhp and some aero really does it for me and as far as Porsche go I’m disgusted with the way I was treated and it seems Porsche turn a blind eye to this gazumping practice, however .

i daily drive a m2 competition since december last year, man oh man what a car. when i drive to work im between 6.7L and 7.5L fuel consumption. It is the best M in my opinion (drove all the F Series) i will never sell it for a G Series.

One of the reason why you got rid of the G87 I remember was because it kept stepping out on you and losing traction. Surely you find the same with this generation, and perhaps it’s even worse for traction?
