The best new sports car!? 2024 BMW M2 review: Forget the M4, this is BMW M's #1 performance coupe

The 2024 BMW M2 coupe is worth getting up early for. After all, the first-generation model quickly established itself as a classic, so this new second-generation successor has some big shoes to fill.

But it should have no trouble rising to the occasion, given it's got a brand-spanking new twin-turbo petrol inline six-cylinder engine to play with, while a rear-wheel-drive layout has been maintained to ensure it remains as playful as possible.

That said, is the new M2 as good in reality as it is on paper? In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Andrew Chesterton finds out by putting the sports car through its paces. Spoiler alert: it's a better bet than its M4 big brother!

IMHO front looks too squarish. Brown leather + black colour scheme inside just doesn't jive with the M namesake.

My favorite eventual car after i get rid of my M4 but this car is not going for over$100, 000 in New Jersey so i don't understand where is this guy located for them to be so expensive, for that i should just get a 911 Porsche turbo.

It looks absolutely awful, even worse than a G series M3/M4 . Such a shame M have lost there way so badly. It seems they're trying too hard to be radical and different whereas Porsche just keep it simple and beautiful.
