We discover an all original untouched barn find 1969 Corvette that has been parked since 1990.

The 1969 Corvette features the new "shark body" design which first appeared in 1968. Many feel the '69 is the most desirable and most appealing visually of the C3 designs which carried from 1968 through 1982. Particularly appealing is that the 1969 Corvette could still be had with the potent L-88 427 as well as optional aluminum heads on the L-71 and tri-power carburetion which went away after '69 as did the N-14 side mounted exhaust. List of optional engines above the 350/300hp with production numbers and upcharge, include:
L36 427ci, 390hp Engine 10,531 $221
L46 350ci, 350hp Engine 12,846 $131
L68 427ci, 400hp Engine 2,072 $326

A wiseman once wrote...always best to buy a restored classic car than to perform the restoration yourself, not only cost, but sweat equity. This car needs 'everything'.
My father worked as a automotive engineer for Chevy back in this era and we drove almost every variant of high performance Chevy including a lot of Corvettes and I followed in his footsteps.
Biggest asset of this era was these cars are as simple to work on as a lawn tractor.
PS. Worth? I wouldn't touch it. If I wanted a C3, I would choose one in much nicer shape with different options.

Pay no mind to the people that don’t have the vision that you have

Everyone has a special car and the joy of rebuilding a car is something special.

Good luck

I would run not walk away from this one. Needs way too much $ and time. Good thing you went in with low expectations

Im just passionate about these classic cars. I dont care if they need a lot of work. They should all be saved. If youre selling these cars then its probably best to get one in better condition but you probably know what the smartest move is.

69 is about the pinnacle of the C3s, maybe the best looking Vette ever

You could buy one at the auction already done cheaper that one needs close to 60 thousand to restore

'69 Corvette convertible 4 speed car. Fairly there, risk evident.

Non LT1 Corvette coupe, painted twice, original red on black, automatic. Texas baked.

Sold for $3.5 k twenty years ago.

These low ball comments here have me LMAO. wtf

These guys Rip Van Winkle ?? I'd love to buy 10 of these at $1k, $2k or $3k.

Chances of freeing up a 4 speed small block Corvette of the 10 possible yard sale buys ?? I would take ALL DAY.

Running, driving, "survivor 'Vette convertible 4 speed" would then be my ad title.

😂😂😂

Wow you can tell just by a quick glance what horsepower vthe engine is! Amazing must take a lot of time and knowledge to do that. How can you tell?? Most people can’t tell what size it is much less the horse pier level. Most small block Chevies look the same to most people

It's worth only 5.000 thousand dollars and yes it needs a lot of work but once done it would be worth it finding one with matching numbers is getting very hard to find anymore

Hello, read thru some comments on here, it is amazing how they are so negative, towards corvettes,
I got the same reactions to the few I had posted forsale, and some I even bought,
Even regardless on how they compare to other chevrolet cars,

I bought a 69 sportwagon 427, 4spd on an online auction, sat for 20 years outside with no ttops on it, so far only thing that been destroyed was the seats, had to cut them out,
Been tinkering on it here and there, going thru all the engine gaskets and seals, hoses and belts, gas tank, from sitting, maybe 3 days worth of tinkering, I might get to hear the 427 run finally....

Wished I could help dig that one out, always up for good challenges, lol

With the damage in front and not knowing the motors locked up or have a title and the water on the floor is not a good sign especially up front I'd say $1, 500 to two grand most

3, 000 dollars at most.. since the owner just wants it gone I think a fair offer would be $2k

$2500 at top's needs $45000 restore

You'd be better off just to go buy a clean car then building that one. Corvettes are not an easy or cheap car to restore

I wouldn't pay more than 2000 for that. It's a basket case and then some.
