You should probably let all these Diy guys know you will need a vacuum pump and proper tools to install this unit and any other unit out there that doesn't come pre sealed system any open lines any space that air sits in in the freon lines has to be vacuumed out before properly works

Including the diameter size of the outdoor unit's leg bolts/concrete anchors would have been nice. Not in the User Manuel either

To vacuum out the line is it just the standard 5/16 Inch Female Coupler to 1/4 Inch Male Flare to be able to hook up the vacuum?

For the US, can the 12k BTU 208V-230V-60HZ be used on a residential building with a 2-pole 15A breaker? Nominal rating is 115V+115V = 240V, but most people know it as 120V+120V = 240V. Will this still operate? Or do you need to purchase the 115V-60HZ model for the US?

I feel bad for the person having to response to some of these questions. 😂

That is an A2L refrigerant system. You need non-arch rated tools. I’ve watched several videos just to check on the performance of these units and the R-32 refrigerant. This is not really a DIY kit, if you want DIY go with Mr. Cool. I can get this done because I’m a technician and I have all of the specialty tools that altogether cost more than the whole system.

If you decide to DIY buy an A2L approved vacuum, manifold with hoses, flaring tool, a core tool remover for a faster vacuum. These require a dedicated circuit so if you know electrical is self explanatory.

As far as all of these dog water installs I’ve seen, avoid that sloppy slack on the line set, cut it down to length and cut off the factory flares. Factory flares are what causes most initial leaks in these new systems. PRACTICE YOUR FLARES! Got it down now? Good, proceed to flare and apply a liberal amount of nylog on your flare. Positive pressure test with nitrogen for 20 minutes, once no leaks are verified you can release the nitrogen. Proceed with a vacuum of at least 500 µm. From there release your charge and you’re good to go.

Folks these things might be cheap and you’re probably here because you got what you thought was n outrageous quote but what most residential HVAC guys do is a lot more complicated than you think. If your system breaks immediately it’s not the manufacturer, IT IS YOU!

Can anyone supply a link to the installation manual? I am particularly interested in finding out the mounting bolt hole patterns.

I have to install on an inside wall and I’m going to have to run my line set up and through the attic. Will condensate line still drain if it’s run upward about a foot? I didn’t know if there was a pump inside the unit that pushes it out. I’m also going to have to buy a longer line set of 25ft. Will it still have enough refrigerant? I have looked around and I can’t find r32 anywhere if I do need it

Installed this unit and works great, but cant figure out how to remove inside unit face cover to clean coils. Im getting black grit from the outside water line which means water is mixing with the dust in there. This unit doesn't have bottom screws like in the other brands videos show.

can the compressor sit outside on a slab, or does it have to be mounted same height as the indoor unit on L brackets?

Isn't it supposed to be a precharged DIY system? If so why need to vacuum the lines? Aren't you removing all the prefilled/charged refrigerant? Where do you get R32 here in the US?

Does this come with the refrigerant already in the outside unit?
