Woodshop Build ― Mechanical Wall Girt Stiffeners – Unboxing the Mini-Split

The video went on a bit longer than expected because I started talking about miter saws, but in the rest of the video, I lay-out, measure for, and cut the girt stiffeners needed to get the east wall panels on. I need those panels in place to start installing the mini-split. Hopefully I'll get some use out of it this summer, but it's a heat pump as well so it should be nice for those chilly fall days as well 😊

I'm trying to move ahead as fast as possible on this wall to not only have air conditioning (before winter 😉), but also to have electricity on that side of the room, have a permanent drain for the furnace (using a bucket on the floor now), and hopefully get some light into that dim side of the shop! 💡💡💡😊

If I remember correctly, you had those spaced 4' on center on the other wall. Any reason for the beefier wall?
