I had one of these once. They're really delicate. If all you do with your pencils is leave them on your desk and carefully pick them up and put them down when you need to use them, it's nice, but if you're like a normal person and want to bring it anywhere, get ready to be cleaning up wood shavings and seeds from inside your pencil case or bag.

My sixth grade teacher, who we were close to, invited us to her wedding and they gave us those pencils as souvenirs. Her wedding was magical and so is the reception.

We used to sell them at the store I worked at. You can sharpen it all the way until near the end and it'll still say what the plant is so you can use it also as a kind of label stake. Just remember that some seeds tend to take better than others. It's mostly a cute novelty gift, but I like that it's at least one that tries to be multifunctional.

And another reminder to NEVER PLANT MINT DIRECTLY IN YOUR GARDEN BEDS. DON'T DO IT. YOU CAN BURY A PLANTER IF YOU MUST, BUT KEEP THE MINT OUT OF THE GROUND! I always warned my customers about this, too. Mint is HIGHLY prolific and it reproduces through the ROOTS! We had some spearmint at my mom's old house that the previous owners had planted and it spread EVERYWHERE! It strangled other plants, it grew into the grass- we spent HOURS meticulously weeding it out of the garden and repotting some separate and it still came back everywhere! Even where I live now, same thing: the woman who lived here before me planted peppermint, which thankfully hadn't had a chance to spread nearly as much before I got it. I meticulously, weeded it out and put some in, an indoor planter last year and BAM! I found some more this year! It's useful, but it is also functionally a weed.
