I can never tell on this channel’s vids if the voice is real or computer generated. The cadence of the voice is unusual, no?

I found some of these concepts very exciting. We may not see these cities in our lifetime but we have to keep trying because our current cities are ancient and unsustainable.

Need to understand the City definition, in population term. You may take a look the new future cities with higher population targeted, say 1 million people. 😅

I’d like to know how a location for such new tech cities is decided. Is it a govt decision or one based on local infrastructure or local need for employment?

These cities have great ambitions but are not growing organically. “It’s a build it and they will come”mentality, but they may not come. Start small, but have plans in place to expand. If it’s too planned and has limited human and citizenry involvement it might become a failed experiment and a white elephant.

We need new developments desperately. We can’t keep expanding existing cities, they are unsustainable. However how are you going to convince those that are ecologically against further urban development or the development of infrastructure needed for future cities such as reservoirs, transit, manufacturing employment opportunities, not every one can work in a high tech industry and basic civic functions need to be provided for both in logistics and also Human Resources.

Im not trying burst anyone’s bubble here, just trying to bring a good idea to fruition.

Here in Australia I can see several potential sites but each would be fiercely opposed by green activists just because it would effect the delicate ecology. Australia continent wide is delicate but if we are to move forward with confidence in to the future we seriously need to consider a high tech city.

How have such hurdles been leapt in other places.

I think these are valid questions and would love to hear other peoples answers.
