Unity 4.2 - Particle Collision callbacks

preview_player
Показать описание
New in Unity 4.2, Particle Collision callbacks, allowing you to detect individual particle collisions in code. In this example we're using collisions of the raindrop particles to add force to a hinged lid and to put out a fire by suppressing the output of its own particle system.

Thank you for making game development free and possible for those of us who scrape by trying to make it with hopes of success :)

Can you please link a tutorial or something how to do this? I'm working on a student project, and the fire does not clear by the particles.

Big companies spend lots of time, money and manpower to make awesome games...but unity made games can and will be awesome too in time..

Well, visually, it could have been done before as well, but callback functions are always welcome, the (reasonably) more, the better!
Now waiting for nested prefabs handling&updating :)

For indie and low budget productions is is by far the most powerful and accessible engine, and what is the most prevailing market in gaming at the moment? indie, low budget games.

You know what crossbow...you cant find super AAA graphics on unity just yet because indie developers have a small budget on money and time...but in a few months, you might see something that might impress you..in terms of gameplay and graphics..coz unity is really easy to use, and makes mobile deployment easy too

The basic version of Unity is free, and pretty easy to use.

Sure. Ashley has said that indie, low budget games form the most prevailing market in gaming at the moment. I was wondering if she is writing based on opinions or fact, and if it's the latter, I would like to know where she got this information. I'm not saying I disagree, I am just interested in understanding which direction the industry is going towards.
