How different my life could have been trying this method out. I always suffered from a sore arm and always just worked through it. I was taught ice it 20 mins on 20 mins off for an hour. Then use a heat pad an hour before your next workout. I eventually stopped doing all that nonsense cause it made no difference in my sore arm. I actually felt better not doing anything other than rest.

This is exactly why old pitchers like Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson, Cy Young we’re able to pitch so many innings/games. They didn’t have the technology we have to recover faster, but they trained hard and efficient everyday.

Makes total sense. I only recommend you gradually increase your level of training to avoid a potential injury.

You have a valid point. I used to long toss everyday that after a while it was just seemed normal and I never felt sore even after pitching, but I did need some rest just to allow it to bounce back.

I pitched throughout high school and college. When we first came back in the winter and started throwing, I'd be sore for a week after the first time I threw 50 pitches full out. Then after that, I never got even a little sore during the season because I threw almost every day.

Thats true, it remember double days for football in high school.and we trained hard running snd after 2 weeks I wasn't sore at all running all day.. facts 💯 TREV
